Are You Expecting?

Congratulations!

Parenting is an exciting adventure, and we would love to come along.

  • Choosing A Medical Home - Come Visit Us For A Prenatal!
    • All 5 of our physicians are Board Certified, and fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. You can read more about each of them in our About Us section.
    • You can meet one of our pediatricians at a prenatal consultation, which can be scheduled at your convenience. At your visit, you can ask any questions you may have about our office or the care of your newborn.
    • We currently offer Prenatal Visits via Telemedicine. Please try to make your appointment at least one month before your due date.

    Please call us today!

  • When You Deliver
    • As you complete your pre-admission paperwork, you may decide to list one of our physicians under “Pediatrician”.
    • When you arrive at the hospital, you can inform the team admitting you of your selected pediatrician. They will take care of contacting us with the exciting news!
    • While we remain on faculty at the area hospitals, your baby will be cared for by the hospital's team of physicians and healthcare providers during your admission. They will ensure we receive all pertinent records. They will recommend a time for your first visit after discharge.
    • On the day of discharge, be sure to call the office for your first follow up visit here! We can't wait to meet your new addition.
  • Your First Office Visit With Your Newborn

Please make your appointment within 1-3 days of discharge, or as instructed during your hospital stay.

At your first appointment, please be sure to bring the following:

    • Any discharge paperwork, including information regarding hepatitis B immunization, New York State newborn screening, and hearing test
    • Your insurance information and identification
    • Plenty of diapers and an extra change of clothes for baby
    • Any forms you’ve completed in advance of your visit
  • Vaccines For Parents And Caregivers
    • Tdap:  This vaccine protects from Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (whooping cough). Many adults have not had a booster dose of this vaccine since they were teenagers. Your obstetrician will likely offer you a booster vaccine during pregnancy or hospitalization. Anyone caring for your child regularly should have had a pertussis booster vaccine in the past 5-10 years. This is available at most physician’s offices, and even some pharmacies.
    • Influenza:  We recommend that all pregnant women, and caregivers of our patients, receive the influenza vaccine yearly. It is widely available at physician’s offices, pharmacies, and urgent cares.
